The MCA Department
The MCA Department, founded in October 1984 at VJTI, was the first computer course offered under the University of Mumbai, Maharashtra, in collaboration with the Department of Electronics to meet the rising demand for IT professionals. It attracts top-performing students from the statewide MCA entrance exam. The program focuses on delivering knowledge and training in computer science, software technology, and management, with courses tailored to the needs of the software industry and research organizations. Located in the southern wing of the third floor, the department is supported by a well-equipped computer laboratory featuring servers, modern machines, software, and networked client systems.

Program Specific Outcomes :
- Analyze, Design, Test and Implement components, processes and solutions for specific application development using appropriate data modeling concepts and document the same.
- Adapt and use appropriate modern software tools, resources and techniques to solve real world problems within the framework of constraints.
- Apply concepts of networking and security to build and manage infrastructure to be utilized for efficient communication.
